Surry Hills is best on foot — Crown Street, Oxford Street, Darlinghurst and the CBD fringe are all walkable from Bourke Street.
Trains
Central Station — about 10–15 minutes on foot (or one bus). Connects to Sydney's rail and metro network.
Light rail
L2/L3 — stops at Surry Hills and Central Chalmers Street. Direct to Circular Quay (Opera House, Harbour Bridge).
Buses
Routes along Bourke, Crown and Oxford Streets — use TripView or Google Maps.
CBD
~5 minutes by train from Central, or ~15–20 minutes walk through Hyde Park.
Airport
Train from Central with one change, or Uber/taxi (~25–40 min depending on traffic).
Parking
Street parking is metered and competitive. Read signs carefully — clearways apply on some routes. Wilson / Secure Parking near Central works for overnight stays. A car is optional in Surry Hills.
Rideshare
Uber and taxis are readily available; Oxford Street is an easy late-night pickup point.
